Read a few profiles
Every companion page describes her mood, favourite topics and the sort of conversation she enjoys. Two minutes of reading makes the first chat much better.

Press Start chat
On a profile page you can add your name and a first message. Or use any Start chat button and choose inside the conversation.

Say what you are in the mood for
A story, a plan for the weekend, a chat about a film. Companions follow your lead and ask questions along the way.

Come back any time
Companions are available day and night. Many people keep one for calm evenings and another for creative energy.
Tips for better conversations
Give a little context
Instead of "tell me a story", try "tell me a story about a lighthouse keeper who receives an unexpected letter". The more texture you offer, the richer the reply.
Ask her opinion
Companions on Okcupid have preferences. Ask Yumeka which of two colours she likes better, or ask Kaleva to argue the other side of a decision.
Keep a story going
For long collaborative stories, agree on a setting and a main character early. Ask the companion to summarise what has happened so far whenever you return.
Use it for real life too
Rehearse a difficult conversation with Amarise, plan your week with Solvei or ask Nazira to explain a piece of history over an imaginary cup of tea.

Companions are fictional personalities designed for company and entertainment. They are not a replacement for professional advice or for the people in your life.
